How Prayloom uses AI
Prayloom uses AI to help you capture and pray. It does not speak for God or replace a pastor.
It's optional
You can pray, write and keep a prayer list without ever using AI. Guided prayer runs only when you tapHelp me pray. If you just want to save a prayer, nothing is sent to an AI model.
What it does
When you ask for help, Prayloom sends the words you just wrote, and nothing else, to prepare three things:
- Reflection: a short, gentle reflection on what you shared. Labeled as AI-generated.
- Scripture: a passage chosen from a verified Bible repository. AI never writes or paraphrases Scripture. If we don't have the rights to show a translation's text, you see the reference only.
- Suggested prayer: a prayer addressed to God that you can edit, use, or ignore. Labeled as AI-generated.
What it never does
- It never speaks as God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, or a pastor.
- It never prophesies, promises outcomes, or ties blessing to money.
- It never decides a prayer is answered. Only you can mark that.
- It never sees your saved prayers or past history.
When someone may be in danger
Every request is checked for safety first. If what you write suggests that you or someone else may be at risk, Prayloom doesn't offer a prayer template. It shows real-world help instead, such as calling or texting988 (the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline in the US) or calling 911 in an emergency.
What happens to your words
- Your text is processed by Cloudflare Workers AI to prepare the guidance, then discarded. We don't store your prompt or the AI's reply on our servers.
- Your prayers are not used to train AI, by us or by our providers.
- Our logs record only timing, errors and safety category counts, never what you wrote.
- A suggested prayer is kept only if you choose to save it, and then it lives in your journal like any other prayer.
Limits
The free plan includes a guided prayer each day. When you've used it, you can still pray, write and save as much as you like.
The models
Guided prayer uses open models from Meta's Llama family (Llama Guard for safety checks, and Llama 3 models for writing), run on Cloudflare's network. Built with Llama.
